How to Apply for a Certificate of Public Practise
Council shall issue a Certificate of Public Practice to a Certified Public Accountant who has satisfied the Council that he meets all of the following requirements:
Is ordinarily resident in Samoa;
Is a fit and proper person to offer accounting services to the public;
Intends holding himself out as offering accounting services to the public as defined in the Act and these Rules and has an office or other suitable premises within Samoa from which to operate his practice;
Has been a Certified Public Accountant member of the Institute for not less than two (2) years; and
Has within the preceding ten years had not less than three (3) years’ acceptable experience in the office of a Public Accountant in Public Practice approved by the Membership Committee; and
Does not hold a full time employment.
To apply for Certificate of Public Practice, please submit an application letter addressed to the President and attach all relevant documents.
