Become a Chartered Accountant in Samoa
The Chartered Accountants Program is the professional examination that forms part of the prescribed qualifications for membership of the Institute as a Chartered Accountant. It is delivered in Apia by the Institute, semester by semester.
Semester 2, 2026: call for interest
Modules offered: Financial Reporting, and Global Strategy and Leadership. The semester commences in August 2026.
From graduate to Chartered Accountant
- Qualify to enrolHold a degree in accounting that includes the core papers of Advanced Financial Accounting, Advanced Management Accounting, Taxation and Auditing.
- Complete the CA ProgramEnrol as a Provisional Member and work through the Program's modules over successive semesters while you build senior-level experience.
- Apply for CA membershipWith the Program complete and at least three years of senior experience in accountancy or auditing, apply to the Council for admission as a Chartered Accountant.
Four compulsory subjects
Candidates complete four subjects, offered across successive semesters. Global Strategy and Leadership is the capstone and is taken last.
Ethics and Governance
Professional and ethical decision-making, regulatory regimes, corporate governance frameworks and corporate accountability, in five modules.
