What it is

The Fellow Chartered Accountant designation is the highest professional honour the Samoa Institute of Accountants confers upon its members, recognising those who have demonstrated outstanding contributions to the accounting profession and exceptional service to the wider community. It is a mark of distinction reserved for the most experienced and accomplished leaders in the field.

Who is eligible

To be eligible, a Chartered Accountant must have at least 20 years of work experience, including a minimum of 10 years in a senior executive position, gained since becoming a Chartered Accountant. Candidates must be nominated in writing with the endorsement of at least two Chartered Accountant referees who can attest to their experience and contributions.

What Fellows can use

Fellows are entitled to use the prestigious "FCA" designation, a legally protected title under the Samoa Institute of Accountants Act. Those who also hold a Certificate of Public Practice may use the "FCAPP" designation, reflecting both their distinguished standing and active commitment to serving the public.

What it means

Fellow membership is not simply a career milestone. It is a recognition of sustained leadership, mentorship, and service that has helped shape the accounting profession in Samoa. Fellows continue to uphold the profession's standards through ongoing CPD requirements and remain subject to the Institute's ethical and disciplinary framework.
